“Let’s fix ourselves first” — Kuami Eugene tells #FixTheCountryNow campaigners

Award-winning singer Kuami Eugene has rendered his comments on the ongoing #FixTheCountryNow movement on social media.

In an interview at an Accra-based radio station, the Lynx Entertainment signee stated that it will be important for citizens to ensure a change in their ways before they can make such calls on politicians.

“If we want the politicians to fix the country, we must fix ourselves first as a people before we can think of tasking the politicians to fix the country. We need to fix ourselves mentally,” he stated.

This was met with several criticisms on Twitter as almost 80% of Ghanaian users are for the change-oriented social media movement.

The challenge which has been trending for several days on social media according to some influencers was started to draw the minds of politicians to mishaps caused the nation due to their politician negligence.

Several celebrities have joined this trend.
